ABOUT US

Started as a full service Virtual Reality experience design studio, Studio Griot focused on real time VR application in architecture and landscape architecture. With years of experience in the field of architecture and landscape architecture, we leverage new and emerging technologies to create interactive and easy to understand interfaces for "yet to be built spaces" for clients and designers alike to help them visualize their projects before the first brick is laid. These experiences help them identify problems and make real time decisions in the conceptual stages saving time and money.

 

In recent years, we also pursue other endeavors in the VR space like games, interactive and educational experiences. You can find our projects below. Click on the thumbnails below the images to see more.

SHIMLA HOUSE

Residential

A hill facing summer house in Shimla that over looks the Himalayan range. The multistory house has vistas at the core of the design and is context sensitive. Hence, it is to be constructed with local and light materials.

DEHRADUN HOTEL

Hospitality

A beautiful Le Meridian property on the banks of the Ganges on the outskirts of Dehradun. The hotel takes advantage of its context to create several intimate and public spaces each with its own character and program. At the heart of the experiences lies the proximity of the river and the view of the mountains.

RAJASTHAN FORT

Hospitality

A boutique luxury hotel and spa located in the Rajasthan desert invites its guests into a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Sporting a covered and open pool along with many other innovative features, this off beat resort intends to be one of the prime properties in the area.

GOA RESIDENCE

Residential

Two houses for two families with a mirrored plan on a sloping site and common walkway access take advantage of both, the elevation, with a two pools, connecting viewing deck at the top as well as the ease of access to the beach at the lowest point.

DELHI FARMHOUSE

Residential

A farm house located in Delhi, consists of intimate spaces like a pool bar, outdoor covered barbecue and bar as well as a putting green.

Residential

A vacation home on the banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh acts as a perfect relaxing location for the client's family. A sandy beach like land-water interface, a perennial stream through the site and sloping topography lends themselves to interesting landscape interventions.

HYPERCONNECTED MUSEUM

Digital Sculpture Collection

Studio Griot was invited by Dronah to showcase the latest Virtual Reality technology. The result was the creation of a specific VR experience that mimicked the actual room the demo was placed in, with multiple sculptures cycling through in various environments with a voice over guide to give pertinent information on the sculpture. The termination of the experience warps the space and scale to teleport the viewer to the Stonehenge in England.
